Self-ish App: From early vision to a launch-ready product experience

Project Overview
Self-ish came to MIUX with an early-stage app idea, and we shaped it into a calm, flexible UX/UI experience with clear product structure, adaptive daily check-ins, and high-fidelity screens designed around real-life energy.
Key Insight
Energy-Based Personalization
The app adapts to how the user feels each day, not a fixed schedule, meeting ambitious women where they are.
Pressure-Free Environment
Removing performance cues (streaks, scores, rankings) was a deliberate strategic decision to keep the experience guilt-free.
Inviting Onboarding
The onboarding unfolds naturally over the first few days rather than front-loading the experience, feeling like an invitation.
Frictionless Re-entry
Users can return after time away without guilt, friction, or feeling behind.

Design Challenge
- Structure vs. Freedom: Building a product that felt both structured enough to use daily and flexible enough to adapt to real life without becoming rigid or overwhelming.
- Simplicity at Scale: Designing complex adaptive user flows that felt effortless on the surface, with every screen supporting easy re-entry and short check-ins.
- Developer-Ready Polish: Delivering high-fidelity screens and a clear product architecture ready for handoff, testing, and development from day one.
